New Hire Enrollment Checklist
It’s time to elect your benefits! Be sure to review your options and determine the best coverage for you and your family. Follow these steps for a successful enrollment:
- Review your Benefit options
- Compare medical plans; note the premium difference between PPO, Enhanced HDHP, and Essential HDHP
- Learn about new and existing benefits
- Log into Benefits Advisor and confirm your elections
- “Ask Emma” can walk you through which plan is best for you
- Have your dependent(s) DOB and SSN handy if enrolling them for the first time
- If enrolling in one of the HDHP medical plans:
- Open an HSA at a financial institution of your choice, if you don’t have one already
- Enter your HSA banking information into Benefits Advisor to ensure HSA contributions will be deposited into your account (can be done after Open Enrollment if needed)
- Review and confirm your HSA contribution election - Your election must be $0 or more to receive the Company contribution (do not waive if you want to receive contributions)
- Enter your FSA and/or Dependent Care election if you wish to contribute in 2025
- FSA elections do not carry over from the prior year and funds do not rollover each year
- List and review your life insurance beneficiaries and update them if needed
- Be sure to “Complete” your enrollment after you’ve made your benefit elections
