2024 Medical & Prescription Drugs

Paycor offers three comprehensive medical plan options all of which:

  • Offer a wide network of UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Providers
  • Cover in-network preventive care at 100 percent
  • Include prescription drug coverage

The Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) medical plan will continue to be available. In addition, you will have access to two High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) - the HDHP Enhanced and the HDHP Essential. The HDHP Essential Plan offers a $0 premium for single coverage. You have the flexibility to choose the option that best fits your medical, prescription drug, and budget needs. All plans will continue to be administered by UnitedHealthcare (UHC).

High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP):

The HDHP options provide a higher deductible than the PPO Plan but have lower premiums which means you pay more when you need care (up to the deductible) and less out of your paycheck. Both HDHPs are compatible with a Health Savings Account (HSA), which allows you to save for medical expenses by making voluntary tax-free contributions through payroll deductions. Click here to learn more about HDHPs and HSAs.

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO):

The PPO plan options provide a lower deductible than the HDHPs but have higher premiums which means you pay less when you need care and more of your paycheck. If you enroll in the PPO Plan, you are not eligible to participate in an HSA.

To help you better understand UHC’s options you can visit the pre-member site at www.uhc.welcometouhc.com for a sneak peek at network providers and pharmacy benefits, including covered medications.

Once enrolled in coverage, register online at www.myuhc.com, and take advantage of self-service capabilities such as:

  • Review claims and Explanation of Benefits detail
  • Track your annual deductible and out-of-pocket expenses
  • Search for in-network providers
  • Get estimates on services by top providers for quality and cost-efficiency
  • Access and print Member ID cards

If you enroll in one of the medical plans, you will automatically receive prescription drug coverage through Optum Rx. Your medical ID card is also your pharmacy card. You can find more information, including Specialty and Preferred Drug lists by contacting Optum Rx at 888-332-8885.

All plans utilize the same United Healthcare network and cover the same services.

  • PPO – Each family member can meet an individual deductible and then receive benefits; each family member will accumulate toward the family deductible until it is reached.
  • HDHP options – All family members contribute toward one family deductible. The full family deductible must be met before benefits begin.
  • Annual out-of-pocket maximums include the deductibles, coinsurance, and both medical and Rx co-payments.
  • Emergency room Copay is waived if admitted. True emergency paid as in-network.

Medical Surcharge

Paycor applies a medical plan surcharge of $75 per pay period if:

  • Your spouse/domestic partner enrolls in the Paycor medical plan and
  • Your spouse/domestic partner is employed and
  • Your spouse/domestic partner is eligible to enroll in his/her employer's group medical plan
